I'll never forget that moment my crayons melted in the sunlight. I took that idea and snuck my crayons into a muffin tray and put them in the hot oven. From there I discovered my aesthetic for experimenting with materials. To stretch the limits of that thing to see what else it can do. What kind of awkward beauty can it behold. I would spend nights melting my crayons over candles sticks in my room, letting them drip on what ever I had in front of me. My curiosity of gum was next. What can I do with gum. I had my whole family chewing large wads of bubble gum. The result? A wired scultpure of a head. I used the gum to make the skin.
My nights have changed since I have become a mom. I am hoping to find that little childish creative spark I once had. But in the mean time I have made many many special little things......I hope you enjoy.
